Growing up in the slums of Caracas, Venezuela, Ron Davis Alvarez found a new life through music and became an accomplished violinist, conductor, and teacher. While visiting Sweden in 2015, he saw crowds of refugees arriving in the country and wanted to help them. When he moved there a year later, he got to work. Today, his Dream Orchestra gives nearly 300 refugees, immigrants, and native Swedes of all ages the chance to learn an instrument, connect with others, and build better lives in Sweden.
