Ronica Neuhoff Bishop Memorial Fund

To all who knew her, Ronica lit up the room with her smile and laughter. She had the most generous heart and gave everything in all she did. Ronica loved being a physician, but even more than that, she loved being a mom to Max, her absolute pride and joy. Family was everything to her.
Those who were lucky enough to be her patient knew a brilliant and compassionate physician who also became a dear friend. She delivered thousands of babies, held the hands of her patients through loss and struggles, and healed, treated and advocated for women of all ages. To say she was a special and beloved physician is an understatement.
Those of us who were lucky enough to call her friend knew an incredible, loving, loyal, and hilarious human. She drew people near with her warmth and kindness, and she kept them there with the fun she created wherever she went.
Ronica was sunshine and generosity, but underneath that, she also struggled with a dark and relentless depression. As the years passed, the struggle got more and more difficult. She fought bravely every day to keep going and get better, but in the end it was just too much.
Ronica was my forever friend. Over almost 50 years, we shared laughter and tears, love and loss, good times and bad. I, like so many, want to help in some way during this heartbreaking time. This campaign is being created in Ronica’s memory to help eliminate unnecessary financial stress for her family. Funds will be used for funeral costs, and beyond that, her family asks that a portion be donated in Ronica’s name to the local chapter of AA.
Ronica never met a stranger. Even when she struggled herself, she was a friend to those in need. In that spirit and with your help, this campaign will also fund the purchase and installation of a memorial bench for her community with the message, ‘You are never alone.’
Thank you for your kind words during this difficult time. Her family has been overwhelmed by the tributes and outpouring of love. Please feel free to leave stories, photos or messages in the comments. Your donations, in lieu of flowers, will be very much appreciated.
