Ronnie E. Barker Rescue Fund

Hello, my name is Travis Peters and I'm raising money to help cover the costs of bringing Ronnie Barker back home to his final resting place in Indiana. During the final days of March 2022, our family came face to face with the unimaginable. Ron and Beverly Barker, loved by so many, disappeared on March 27th in Central Nevada while on an RV trip. On April 5th, after nine days of being missing, they were located on a mountain west of Silver Peak, Nevada. Miraculously, Beverly survived the ordeal and is currently recovering in Reno. Unfortunately, our hearts were broken to learn that Ronnie Barker passed away on April 4th, just 26 hours before rescuers located them.

The search for our lost family members captivated people around the world. We are forever grateful to each individual who searched, prayed, and hoped for a better outcome to this tragedy; your actions and support carried us through the unknown and continue to envelop us as we grieve the loss of Ronnie support the recovery of Bev.

Now, we face the final leg of bringing Ronnie and Beverly, back home again to Indiana. To ease the financial strain of this tragedy, we are giving people a way to help out. We have been overwhelmed by the support throughout this ordeal and sincerely appreciate any help you may be able to provide with our travel and associated expenses. This GoFundMe account will be released to the daughter of Ronnie Barker, Jennifer Whaley (Barker).  Jennifer is my direct cousin.

Any remaining funds beyond our expenses will be donated in Ronnie E. Barker's name and memory to an organization to aid in the search and rescue of missing persons.
