Ronnie Kelly and his family need our help, but they are too proud to admit it. Ronnie had hernia surgery late fall, 2016. Surgery was thought to be successful, but another hernia occurred shortly after surgery. Going to Jackson, MS for another hernia surgery, which again was thought to be successful, but was not. During his recuperation from the second hernia surgery (within 3 weeks), he developed a large knot on the right side of his neck. All the while, he is recuperating from hernia surgery. He kept watch on it for a few days and when the knot got to the point of a very noticeable protrusion, he went to his local doctor. After many scans, his local doctor sent him to an oncologist in Jackson, MS for consultation. The result was the hated word CANCER! He started 6 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week. His neck on the outside, his throat and tongue were severely burned by the time of the last radiation treatment. His taste buds were gone, he could not eat solid food but praise the Lord, he could drink boost drinks and other nutrient and protein drinks prescribed by radiologist. But still lost a tremendous amount of weight. A month after he finished his radiation treatment, he had his third hernia repair surgery. You see, after the second hernia surgery, a tear developed or a nick happened during surgery (remember the cancer "knot" developed within 3 weeks) between the bladder and the colon. Extreme pain, blood in urine, among other waste, and fatigue were horrendous culprits. Since this last surgery, a month ago, he has been in and out of hospital 3 times, his weight is now 142 pounds, and he is so weak he can barely make it from bed to couch at times. He tries to get up and move around, but he is so weak, he can only take baby steps. The problem? Ronnie has not worked since October 2016 and probably will not be able to work for many months to come. He was the sole provider for his family, that he loves dearly as any father would and he is crushed/depressed that he is unable to do anything to provide for his family now. This is where we, as Christians, as friends, as family can show our love monetarily by giving to this "Go Fund Me" account to help offset medical expenses (Ronnie has no insurance) that are building up daily and other necessary expenses, such as utilities, house payment, groceries. Out of the kindness of your heart, please help this precious family get through these tough times ahead. God will richly bless you and your kindness will not go unnoticed.
