Please take a moment and help my family. It kills me to have to come here and reach out for help but I can't do this alone, no matter how much I want to be able to.
Meet my mother (Nancy Carter) and my father (Ronnie Carter Sr). They have just celebrated their 39th anniversary. In December of 2015 my father was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The cancer came on suddenly and spread to his brain quickly. He went through radiation therapy which helped reduce the size of the tumors on his brain. He was scheduled to go through chemo treatment next, but unfortunately his body couldn't handle it and the doctors advised that he go on hospice. He has been in hospice for the past year, even though the doctors didn't expect him to survive past 6 mths, and he has had good days and bad days. The bad days are increasing and becoming a daily battle for him. His doctors and nurses just informed us that his good days may be coming to an end and that we need to start preparing for the worse. This is what brings me in front of all you today.
My father has always been the type of man that would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He has never asked for much even though life has been hard and he has had to overcome many hardships. Even now he is trying to fight to stay alive. This cancer has eaten away at our family emotionally, financially, and physically which brings me here. We are trying to prepare for what is to come and give my father as many good days as possible. Unfortanately my family doesn't have life insurance or any way of gathering the funds for the inevitable. So I am reaching out to our family, friends, and anyone else that is willing to help. If you can spare anything please help us if you can't please send your prayers. We would like to see him "kick cancer's a**" and a miracle happen but we have to be prepared just in case God calls him home. Thank you for your kindness and prayers. Your love means more than you can ever know.
