Roof the Block- Fitzgerald’s Roof Restoration Program

Roof the Block is bringing new roofs to at least 10 long-time homeowners in Detroit’s Fitzgerald neighborhood!

A collaboration of Nine Design + Homes, the Relentless Care Foundation by Community Financial Credit Union & Brilliant Detroit, our goal is to support existing Fitzgerald neighbors, replace 10 roofs this summer 2024! ---- Help us hit our goal!

Keith & Evan have renovated over 50 homes for the hit HGTV show Bargain Block, many in this very neighborhood. Bargain Block is a renovation series taking abandoned, blighted homes and turning them into beautiful, affordable properties in Detroit. In their time renovating homes, Keith and Even saw first-hand how maintaining the integrity of the roofing system can prevent water damage and keep homes from falling into disrepair. Season 3 of Bargain Block featured homes in the Fitzgerald neighborhood as will the upcoming season 4. This roofing initiative is intended to support the neighbors and homeowners already living in this community. With your help, Keith and Evan and partners will bring a vital roofing program to help further their mission of preserving Detroit homes and supporting homeownership.
