Greenspire HS Robotics Funding Our Way to States

We have made it to World level competition in Houston, TX! Now we need the money to get there. We can't do it without community support! Our current well has dried up and we need the help.

We are the Greenspire High School Steel Sturgeons Robotics Team, FRC 9176. We are in our rookie year and are making a lot of noise. Beyond our wildest imagination, we qualified for the First in Michigan State competition; while we were eliminated in Match 12 of the semifinals, we QUALIFIED for Worlds!

Greenspire High School is a small, 9-11 grade charter school with 124 students. Our team of 13 makes up over 10% of the current enrollment. Next year we will be 9-12 grade, so we will have the opportunity to gain even more members.

We started the year with a single grant to start this program from the ground up: tools, toolboxes, robot kit, food, snacks, team shirts, vehicle rental for travel, lodging, etc. We are now starting to dig into next year's grant to be able to make it to the state competition; not the way we need next season to start.

So we are looking for help in funding our program's future. Each year we build a whole new robot as FIRST robotics creates a new playing field with new goals & skills to master. We are still in need of purchasing more tools as well.
