Room Service International Fundraising
Room Service International is a for-purpose, community-action organization that activates tangible change in underserved communities throughout the world. As a collective of creatives, we’re inspired to use our crafts & platforms for change & progression. We are motivated with one goal in mind: to live a life of service. Using travel, philanthropy, sound & capture to bridge the divide and connect cultures, every mission is centered around the specific needs of the communities we serve. To ensure this, we take a hands-on approach, conducting research before each activation and always carrying out projects with the locals, members and leaders of these communities, as well as the promoters, venues and fans who support our vision. We are successful because we do the work together.
100% of our fundraising efforts go back to the communities we serve.
Past Missions:
Rio de Janeiro
Rocinha, Complex de Alemão, and Vidigal
8/20 – 8/25, 2019
For this activation, Room Service International partnered with GoodTravels & Community In Action to provide services to the youth in Rocinha, Complex de Alemão, and Vidigal. On our first day of service we painted a mural and helped beautify part of a community center in Rocinha, the largest favela in Rio De Janeiro with a population of about 100,000 people. The following day, we visited an elementary school in Complex de Alemão, a group of favelas in the north zone of Rio. We spent time with the kids, educating them on the importance of sustainability, recycling & gardening, and, with the students, planted a few new trees, cleaned up garbage, and reinforced some of the fixtures in the gardening area. On the last day of our social impact work, we volunteered with PlayLife World and visited students in Vidigal, one of Rio’s more “up-and-coming” favelas. Room Service and GoodTravels spent the day teaching 20+ students basic English & arithmetic and playing soccer, tennis and other recreational activities. Our day of school & sport was followed by a beautiful family lunch with the entire staff and kids.
To celebrate our partnership with GoodTravels, we produced an epic dance party at local hot spot, CoLAB, with dancing and bass-driven grooves that lasted into the night. Special thanks to the organizations we worked with! It was an honor to be tapped by GoodTravels; we especially thank them for giving us an incredible opportunity to serve the youth in Brazil, all while doing what we love: playing glorious dance music & giving back along the way.
Southeast Asia

11/23 – 12/23, 2018
After successfully executing our first major community initiative in Tondo, Manila in May 2018, we were motivated to expand and further serve the Southeast Asian community. Fast forward to the end of 2018, we launched our first global humanitarian and music tour, exploring eight cities throughout Southeast Asia. With the tremendous help of local promoters, venue owners, fans, as well as crowdfunding, Room Service successfully executed the tour’s following social impact initiatives: volunteering and sponsoring two feeding programs, conducting research to rehabilitate a multipurpose court for the youth, purchasing supplies for an at-risk youth crisis center, providing music lessons and photo shoots for local youth, and lastly, assisting in an annual holiday gifting celebration consisting of 2,000 children.
Room Service was also invited by local community leaders to experience the inner workings of each city’s cultural lifestyle, indulging in new cuisine, as well as participating and supporting various environmental, art, fashion, music and nightlife events.
Tondo, Manila
4/26 – 5/9, 2018
Our time in Tondo was to benefit underserved children in the slum communities of Tondo, Manila, and help spread awareness on the conditions of extreme poverty in the Philippines. In collaboration with Manila-based organization, Project Pearls, Room Service International provided scholarships and monthly groceries for the 2018-2019 academic school year for three children: Christian, Justine & Sharmalaine. We also successfully sponsored a feeding program for 300 children.
