Roosevelt High School Educator Strike Support

RHS Educator Supporters, we are so grateful to you for being a source of strength for our striking ESPs and teachers! So many people have held up our educators at Roosevelt and across the city by honking, picketing with us, writing letters to the Minneapolis Board of Education and Superintendent Graff, bringing us coffee and snacks on the line, writing supportive messages on social media, AND MORE.

 

As you may know, we started with a GoFundMe exclusively for our ESPs at Roosevelt because we wanted to prioritize getting funds out quickly to our professionals who were earning the least. Thanks to the contributions that folks made, we were able to distribute funds to ALL of our striking ESPs who need support. However, we are opening our RHS strike support fund to both ESPs AND teachers experiencing financial strain, so we have opened a new GoFundMe page.

 

Today begins our THIRD WEEK on strike, and the longer we are on strike, the more financial stress our educators feel. Please help us sustain our striking educators as we continue to increase the pressure on the district to meet our demands and make systemic change for our students and communities.
