Rooster's Cancer Treatment

Hello friends! Many of you know Rooster but for those who don't, here is a quick story..

Rooster is a young, happy 4.5-year-old golden retriever. He came into Katie's life at 8 weeks old and has been with her through all of Paramedic School, the pandemic, and everything since.

Unfortunately in late April 2023, I started to take note of a possible lump on Rooster's left cheek. I thought it was nothing, maybe related to a diet he had been put on. But it only got bigger and bigger...

Till there was no denying there was something there. I took Rooster down to Leesburg for a CT scan and biopsy. Results showed an osteosarcoma...

I've met with surgeons and oncologists over the past few weeks who are confident Rooster is the perfect candidate for surgery and radiation. But obviously this means a lot of financial strain.

Rooster never had the opportunity for pet insurance because he was diagnosed with bilateral hip and elbow dysplasia at only 5-months old. Now because he is uninsured, I am looking at about $20,000-$25,000 out-of-pocket cost to save my dog's life.

Without surgery and radiation we are looking at 4-6 months left with our happy boy. With treatment, we likely have the rest of his life. Asking for help, let alone money, is never easy. But today I am asking for help saving my bestie's life. Anything you can give is very much appreciated.
