Root for Root

Keith's battle continues and we refuse to give up. As you may know, Keith's battle began last year when he was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. He has spent the past year fighting with everything he has, undergoing surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation. Last week Keith was working with doctors to prepare for what we thought would be his last surgery when it was discovered that a new, larger mass had formed in his kidney & bladder region. Just days later, Keith had to be rushed to the emergency room and wound up in the ICU as his kidneys had both completely shut down and his  potassium levels skyrocketed to dangerous levels. He underwent emergency surgery and dialysis to save his life. This unexpected and devastating blow is a major setback that he is determined to overcome. We need any and all support out there right now. We know there is a light at the end of this long, dark tunnel. Keith is an outstanding person that deserves every chance he can get. He and his wife, Hayley, have been through the unimaginable over the past year and a half. I truly believe that we can all band together to help them make it through this. They face this fight every single day to defeat cancer and let life win and they should not have to be worried about finances in the process. The money raised from this fundraiser will go directly to easing the burden of the high deductibles and co-payments for the specialists at Sloan Kettering and to secure living arrangements that are conducive to his condition.
