Robbie Felix is a 24 year old male from Sterling, Massachusetts that was recently diagnosed with a kidney disease called Membranous Nephropathy Stage II and Acute Tubular Injury. This debilitating disease is very rare in young men and typically is found in older men that are in their later years of life. Rob was a healthy college graduate who was into health and fitness. His diagnosis was a result of a kidney biopsy (renal) in August, 2016, when he was 23 years of age.
He is currently undergoing a treatment regimen of steroids and chemo, rotating treatments every other month for a period of 6 months. If this treatment plan does not work for him his condition will become more aggressive which could lead to a possible need for a kidney transplant.
Rob, a recent college graduate, has just started his career and with high insurance deductibles his cost have been a struggle for him to stay in treatment. He is currently on several medicines including thyroid, cholesterol, blood pressure, chemo and steroids to treat this disease. The current plan is to try to keep him in these treatments in hopes that he will improve and get well. If these treatments are avoided or are unsuccessful the only alternative would be a series of injections with an anticipated cost of 300K.
Our hopes are to collect enough money to put Rob through his current treatment plan and with alot of prayers our hope he will recover fully.
