Rooting for Super Sammy

Donation protected
On Friday, February 8th, our sweet Sammy was diagnosed with cancer.  He has what they call a “Wilms Tumor” and will have surgery to remove his kidney, followed by 1-6 months of chemotherapy.

Sammy is 2  1/2 years old. He has a big sister, Bo, who is 7 and a new sibling due in August.  This young family needs some help, as Becca has had to close her dayhome entirely and Ty has to work extra to make ends meet.  Money is the last thing they should be thinking of but we all know when money is tight how every decision is based on affordability.  Let’s ease their minds , if we all give what we can it will allow Becca and Ty the opportunity to focus on what is so important : their little family.
I will ensure any donations made for little Sammy go directly to Becca’s ( my daughters ) bank account . I will be staying with her for an undetermined amount of time to help in any way I can .
There will be lots of time and trips to Calgary, These funds will go towards gas , meals , hotels if needed , they will go towards chemo drugs and cleaning and sanitizing the home , they will go towards the next 6 - 12 months of the bills Becca paid as Becca will not be able to continue  working.  and clothing for Sam , medical equipment or medication if needed  . After his major surgery  and blood transfusion today, then the courses of Chemotherapy.  This is more trips to Calgary and more gas and meals .

I know  they are grateful for the offers of places to stay and pre-made meals. Their hearts are warmed by the positive messages and support.  I think we, who know them and love them or are simply touched by their story can join together and reach this goal or surpass it.

We’re all rooting for Super Sammy! Let’s show our support.

UPDATE:
Sammy made it through his surgery yesterday , one big step now onto the next . He had a chemo port put in his chest and his right kidney and the tumor removed. He also had some lymph nodes removed for testing but he was able to keep his adrenal glands which is good.  Unfortunately the tumor ruptured during surgery in a contained area the surgeon said and as a result he will have to have radiation as well as chemotherapy.   Sammy had a rough night and the nurses are trying to keep his pain in control. He smiled a few times this a.m. listening to  videos his big sister is sending him .  The tumor and lymph nodes will be sent off and dissected which will take a little longer than normal as the tumor was so big .  Sammy has some Super Healing to do before Chemotherapy and Radiation . Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and please donate if you can . We have a goal to meet or beat to help Sammy’s mum and dad focus on Sammy and his treatments and well being  for the next 6 months at least without the stress of financial instability .
Thankyou to all from my whole heart ❤️
