RoRo Liver Lobectomy Mass Removal

Donation protected
Here we are again. Poor RoRo the amazing pug is faced with another health challenge. They found this week a mass in her left liver lobe. We returned back to Access in Culver City to see her Surgeon who performed her surgery on her last November and removed the masses that were causing the internal bleeding. Dr Annie Lo recommends that RoRo have the mass removed. Actually it will be another portion of her liver removed. Another lobectomy. Dr Lo assured me that she can actually have 66% of her liver removed and still be ok. The liver regenerates. And because this is on the left side it is a good thing. It is away from the vena cava and other major organs that can cause problems during surgery.

Since this mass is moderate in size it will continue to grow and can cause pressure to build up on other organs as it grows in size and we also risk the chance of it bleeding and have a critical situation like we did last year with an internal bleed and we almost lost RoRo. We want to avoid that entirely.

As much as I hate to have her go through another surgery and risk her life , I have no choice. By not doing the surgery I put her life at risk as well. I trust the drs and staff at Access Culver City. Although a good hour and 15 min drive from me it is what it is.

I want the best care for RoRo. The surgery is set for Oct 20,2022. The estimate is ranging from $10,000-$14,000. I have to pay the high end of the estimate when I drop her off on Oct 20 for her surgery. So here I am once again asking for help from the community that loves her so. This week I spent over $2500 alone with Ct Scan and todays consultation and echo for preop. Also attaching invoices as well

We won’t know if the mass is malignant until the biopsy comes back. She will need follow up visits with specialists and possible chemo if the the cancer is not aggressive which we won’t know until biopsy results are back

I want Roro to have a chance - she deserves it. She is my Emotional Support Dog and went through training. If you have ever met RoRo you probably were greeted with a song and lots of love. She is pure love. She has gotten me though a divorce and 3 heart attacks and various other medical problems. Now it’s my time to be there for her and fight for her. If you can spare a $10 or whatever I would be beyond grateful. I know times are difficult for everyone.

Thank you in advance for helping me save my little girl. God bless
