Rory DeCristoforo Memorial Statue in St Peter’s Grotto.
Donation protected
With the inspiration and effort of Mr. Frank Cafaro, Meaghan and I are committed to reinforcing faith and keeping Rory’s memory alive for generations of St. Peter’s Boys for decades to come. Our journey of faith can hopefully inspire some others to reinforce their faith.
Mr. Cafaro had the wonderful idea to commission a statue of St. Anne, mother of the Blessed Mother. This beautiful statue depicts St. Anne brushing Mary’s hair as a child and will forever hold a place in my heart remembering Rory.
At first, I thought the statue would come home with us. After many discussions with Mr. C, we thought it would be most suitable as an addition to the sacred grotto on the grounds of Saint Peter’s Boys High School.
The inscription will read as a reminder to our young men of the sacred role that women play in our lives.
“This statue of St. Anne is in honor of the Grandmothers, Mothers, Sisters, and Daughters of the Men of St. Peter’s both past and present. In loving memory of Rory DeCristoforo.”
All proceeds after the statue is paid for will go directly to the beautification and enhancement of the grotto. The statue itself is over $34,000.
We have already made a substantial down payment to make the statue. Please help us give back to the community that lifted us up so significantly.
