Rory’s Sponsored Swim for Shropshire Deaf Children’s Society

Hi. My name is Rory and I am 9 years old.

A year and a half ago, we found out that I was deaf in one ear and that I would need to wear a hearing aid to help me.

Since then, my family have been supported by the Shropshire Deaf Children’s Society and I have been able to go to some really fun activities funded by the SDCS.

I have decided I want to do a sponsored swim to raise some money for the SDCS so that they can carry on funding activities for local deaf children.

I am going to try and swim 1000m. This is 400 METRES more than I have EVER swum before but I am sure I can do it.
