Rosa Mack Debut EP

Hello friends, family & extended online community,

I’m an Australian, Meanjin-based soul/blues/rock musician, working with an extraordinary crew of musicians who I am proud to call my bandmates and friends. This project has been living and breathing for three years, working hard to secure gigs and make an impression on our local & east coast music scene. Without any prior releases we've created some amazing musical memories together. One particular highlight was performing at Woodford Folk Festival 22/23 on New Years Eve to the warmest crowd we have ever received.

We collectively dedicate hundreds of hours into music every year by studying, writing, rehearsing, performing and administrating our music careers alongside working in day jobs that help to pay our personal bills.

Our mission is to release music that is honest, exciting, soulful and beautifully produced.

We are working with local genius/producer/bass extraordinaire Lachlan 'Swampdog' Symons (Life on Earth, Paua) recording demos and slowly building ours tracks at beautiful studios like Alchemix Recording Studios and Tallowood Studio alongside co-producer Cameron Bower (Big Dead, Milk Buttons).

Recording and releasing music is an exciting, overwhelming, humbling and expensive undertaking.

While this expansive project is deeply rewarding on many levels, we feel it is important to provide an honest financial breakdown of the costs involved:

Expenses CREATING 2 singles and 4-track EP

Total: $16,000 (with around $4,000 missing in volunteered session work)

Expenses RELEASING 2 singles and 4-track EP

Total: $14,300 (with around $3,000 missing in volunteered administration work)

Recording and releasing 6 songs reaches the grand total of $30,300.

So far we have self-funded -$17,600 from gigs and personal income. We expect to make -$1,000 from tickets sales for our single launch; another -$1,700 from upcoming booked gigs; and by investing $1,200 in merchandise, we expect to sell enough to break even and make a profit of -$1,000.

This leaves us with remaining $9,000 to fund. Which is where we reach out to our wonderful and generous supporters, your sweet selves! Whether it's the price of a cup of coffee or a Kmart kettle, a haircut or a nice meal out - any financial contribution you wish to share is greatly appreciated by each one of us. This kind support goes directly towards expanding not only our local music & art scene, but providing a platform for our creative work to be received on an national level. Our promise returning to you, is continuing to work as hard as we can to create & express our most authentic and honest art, to evoke a passionate light in others and hopefuly inspire artistic expression in our peers and future generations alike.
