PROTECT ROSARIO AND HER CHILDREN

November 2022
Rosario's criminal attorney recused himself on the day of her motion to quash the criminal charges for conflict of interest. She was offered a plea deal reducing charges to misdemeanor child stealing, but accepting this plea bargain would place Rosario's immigration status and ability to regain custody of her children at risk. She now needs money to retain new legal counsel to face this felony charge and only has until November 21st 2022 to secure it!

Rosario's story is unfortunately common in Oklahoma and abroad. Rosario knows she isn't just fighting for her own children; she's courageously unifying a much larger movement of systemic reformation to the family court system.
January 2022
Rosario has been released from jail after bail was paid in both Arkansas and Oklahoma!
She was arrested on January 13th and is facing 10 years in prison for ‘child stealing’ after she obtained a protective order against the father and fled to a nearby state after finding Oklahoma's domestic violence shelters full.
You can help by donating to cover legal expenses and by emailing the D.A. to ask for dismissal of the criminal charge and the presiding judge to vacate the guardianship and appoint a new judge.
How did we get here?
Rosario’s daughter disclosed sexual abuse in a forensic interview on October 6, 2021 and a forensic medical exam found physical evidence consistent with sexual abuse. This was not the first time there was concern the father had been abusive but temporarily it appeared the courts and child protective services would finally fight for the children. DHS explicitly told Rosario they were substantiating the claim.
Your generous donations allowed Rosario to obtain legal counsel.
The unfortunate truth? Temporary custody was instead awarded to a family member of the father who has consistently protected the father to the detriment of the children while the father was under investigation for sexual abuse and criminal indictment for domestic violence. Rosario continued to protect the children and did not show up to a hearing in probate court and Judge Kurt Glassco issued a bench warrant for Rosario’s arrest for failure to appear, with an initial $10,000 bond.
Rosario has been in this same court system fighting for her children since she first left her abusive husband in 2018. While the abuse she suffered at the hands of the children's father was significant enough for her to be awarded protection under the Violence Against Women Act, it has not been enough to protect her children from a court system that advantages wealthy fathers.
Rosario has a Masters level education, is a television producer and Mexican-American immigrant who moved to the United States with her parents when she was only 6. When the courts and CPS failed to protect her children, she got a job working at CPS so she could understand the system and its inadequacies. While working there, she uncovered a ring of attorneys, Guardian ad Litems, and judges who are colluding to grant custody to child abusers.
Rosario filed a federal lawsuit that is ongoing, but now these individuals are seeking retribution against Rosario and are using their power and personal relationships to take her kids away from her. She is not going to stop fighting for the safety of her children and neither are we. Every donation, every share, every prayer, every email and call to the Tulsa court system matters.
