Rose Ameloblastoma Removal Surgery
Donation protected
2/2/24 Update: Thank you so much to everyone who has donated - you all are helping me out so much! Rose is doing so well today already, even asked for seconds after breakfast (which she never does, even healthy). She is getting used to her lopsided jaw, but that is the only long term side effect of this, which I am so grateful for!
2/1/24:
Hi everyone! As you may know, I have an amazing pup named Rose, who is an almost four year old pitt mix. She is the best dog in the world and definitely my soul dog. For the past three years, I have been battling a acoustic neuroma, which is a benign (thankfully) brain tumor. I’ve had to have two brain surgeries, and a bout of radiation. She has not left my side through any of it. My one year tumor free is February 29th.
About a week ago, I found a lump on Rose’s jaw. We did a biopsy and it is an ameloblastoma, which is a benign (thankfully, again) tumor in the jaw. I am not sure what is in the air in my house :)
Today, February 1st, she went into surgery to get it fully removed (as well as part of her jaw). Thankfully, it has a great prognosis so this surgery is the only thing she will need.
The total for the surgery was $7,775 (I will take an angel number as a good sign!). I had a great savings account before everything happened to me, but it taken a dip paying for my own things. I have taken out a loan for her surgery but would love to get any support I can to get it paid back. All of the funds raised here will go straight to the vet bill.
If there’s anything you guys are able to do to help or have any suggestions for me, I would be forever grateful. Thank you so much in advance!
