Rose and Andy Need Our Help - Crouse Family Crisis
Donation protected
Friends we need your help. If you know Rose and Andy Crouse, you know how generous and kind and compassionate they are. How strong and proud Rose is - giving help constantly yet very rarely asking for or accepting it.
Andy is at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton suffering from endocarditis - an inflammation and infection in the tissue of the heart. Complicating this is internal bleeding - the source of which has not been found yet. After being admitted in mid-November and released from the hospital in Red Deer with a continuous course of IV antibiotics to complete at home - he did not improve and was transferred to the Heart Institute on Dec 3rd.
Andy's heart problems are not new and the family has weathered health issues with him over the years but this time it is compounded by the fact that he also lost his job of 13 years this past October.
All of this lands squarely on Rose's shoulders. Down to one income, which gets progressively smaller as Rose has to take time off and pay over $1000 per month for heart medication, antibiotics & IV pumps, and diabetes medication. Working full-time with 2 school age boys still to raise and 1 big boy still to worry about - the math is no longer working in their favour.
Andy is in a state of wait and see right now. Rose wants to tell her lovely 8 year old boy when his dad is coming home but can't give him an answer. Together, I know we can offer her a shoulder to lean on and take away some of her worry. If we each contribute a little - we can help her a lot.
