Rose City Bluff Restoration
Rose City Bluff Restoration is an informal volunteer organization dedicated to removing invasive plants and restoring the native ecological system on the Rose City Bluff in Portland, OR. The Bluff is a half mile long slope on the north edge of the Rose City Golf Course, with a one mile loop trail and panoramic views of the golf course and Mount Hood. It is a popular walking and running route for the surrounding neighborhoods.
Oregon Native Plants for Rose City Bluff Restoration - Over the last three years neighborhood volunteers have taken up the challenge to reclaim a wildlife corridor along the north edge of the Rose City Golf Course. They started by clipping and digging out non-native Himalayan Blackberry bushes which had nearly strangled all else. This year the volunteers will begin restoring the natural ecosystem by planting Willamette Valley native plants. Your donations will purchase these native plants for this beautiful bluff.
