Andrew Rose left this world to be with God on March 26, 2019. He had complications following a sudden heart attack while working in Des Moines, Iowa to help with the extensive flooding this spring. He leaves behind his wife Erica and his spirit in his little girl Lydia Grace who is due to be born any day now. Erica and Lydia are going to need lots of help financially and of the more conventional kind.

What Happened?
On March 21, Andrew had an unexpected heart attack while working in Des Moines (10+ hours from home). He was taken to the hospital where he had stents placed to allow blood to flow past the blockage in the arteries around his heart. That night, he started having chest pain, and they determined that the stents themselves were blocked. Around the same time, Andrew had two small strokes. He had open heart surgery on March 24, but he never recovered. He passed away on March 26. Needless to say, all of this complicated medical care will be expensive.

For those who may not have known him well, Andrew was truly one of the best people God ever put on this earth. He devoted his life to serving. In college, he was someone you could always count on to show up to the charity event no matter how early on Saturday or Sunday morning. He was the type of person who would come help you move on a moment's notice. After graduating, he spent a year working in a jail counseling prisoners. He and Erica were very involved in their church and just last year went on a mission trip to minister outside the country. Even in his job at Nationwide, he was serving others. With the recent flooding in the Midwest, he went to Des Moines to help process flood claims so people could get back into their homes more quickly.

Erica and Andrew went to high school together and were married in January 2017. They recently bought a home together in Dickson, TN. Andrew loved Erica dearly. They were so thrilled when they were able to get pregnant last year. Andrew looked forward to becoming a father since he became an uncle several years ago, and he would've been so great at it.

Andrew always loved to help others, and it's our turn to help take care of his family now that he's gone. They will need help with medical bills from Andrew's care, funeral expenses (we have to get him home from Iowa), possibly medical expenses for Lydia Grace's birth, childcare, and any number of other expenses that we all take for granted.
Nothing will bring Andrew back, but we can all pray that helping his wife and daughter will let him rest easy from above.
