Rose Garden Strong

Hello everyone!

My name is Tristanna Bleau. I am the assistant director of a privately owned accredited preschool named Rose Garden Learning Academy. For those not familiar with us we are located in New Port Richey. We have not had the best of luck with the hurricane's this season, as many others. With Hurricane Helene we experienced exterior damages that resulted in being very costly. For example, our sign that can be viewed by US 19 was shattered, many of our fence panels broke, as well as some water got in the building.

Some of you may have seen the posts on our FaceBook or Pasco News. Unfortunately during this last hurricane (Milton) we not only experienced damage to our school but someone broke into our facility stealing many items. This included but not limited to our computers that children use to do their assessments as well as learning apps, our iPad's that teacher use to update families throughout the day, batteries, walkie talkies, our children tablets that they use to complete their learning apps, as well as our Candy Friday Bucket and bags and bags of candy. The police were called the day after and a report was made. However they expressed to us that there is not much they can do on their end.

I am making this on behalf of our amazing owner and director Michele Turner. She is the type of person to bend of over backwards for everyone but not accept the littlest bit of help. She is constantly looking for ways to help our community whether that be supporting local businesses, doing Back to School Drives, Food Drives, Toy Drives benefiting Metropolitan Ministries, hosting free events for the community, etc. She has told me numerous times that "other people have it worse than us I rather not make a GoFund Me." However with the costs to fix everything the bill's are quickly piling up and she deserves the help.

We have reached out to the insurance companies and some of the expenses are not covered due to many factors. But like mentioned the expenses are piling up. For our sign to be fixed alone is over 4,000. Our window repair is over $700, not including our numerous items that were stolen.

I have had many people in our community ask how they can help support us in this time and even suggest making a GoFundMe so that is what I want to do. Rose Garden is stronger Together! We could use the help. Everything is appreciated even a share or prayer.
