Rose of Charity Orphanage
Donation protected
Hi! I am a Special Education teacher in a high school in Mansfield, Texas, and I love to travel. On a recent trip to Africa with my mom and some friends, we had the privilege of visiting the Rose of Charity Orphanage in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Click here to see them in action. We met with Sima, an angel who is taking in many homeless children, most of them victims of the AIDS epidemic there, and giving them food, shelter, and a family. After spending the day with Sima and the children there, my mom and I decided to come back to the US and help out as much as we can. My mom is a Special Education teacher too, and we have a soft spot in our heart for children, especially ones who are at a disadvantage. So, once we arrived back home, we raised money to put in a floor in their new home they are building on the outskirts of Victoria Falls and we started this campaign to help them finish their new house. The Beat Aids Project Zimbabwe donated funds for the orphanage to put the ceiling in their new home. Thanks BABZ!! Now they need appliances and furniture, plus there is the never ending food bill to feed all those children!
My mom and I sponsor three Rose of Charity girls to send them to school, and raise funds to help with the daily expenses of feeding, clothing and caring for 70 children. They recently took in a new orphan, Lamisha, who was found in a trash dumpster at 5 weeks old.
Isn't she cute?!? This poor baby now has a home and a family.
Any help you could give to assist with the house, daily operating expenses or the new baby is greatly apprciated! You can also sponsor one (or more) of the children for school. It costs money in Zimbabwe to attend school, $120 a year for Primary and $240 a year for Secondary. Please consider either helping with the house, feeding the children, or sending a child to school. Every little bit helps, and it is very easy to do! Just click the donate button and I will get your donation to Sima in Africa.
I know you work hard for your money and want to make sure it gets to the children. All of your generous donations, minus the fees from GoFundMe, will be transfered from GoFundMe to my bank, then directly to the Rose of Charity's account. Or if you prefer Paypal, go to their website to donate that way. You can also contact Sima at the Rose of Charity directly through their website for more information on how to support these beautiful children.
Thanks!
Lisa
