Rosemary Collins Memorial Fund:
This is a memorial fund organized by former students of Mrs. Rosemary Collins. The purpose of this fund is to memorialize Mrs. Collins on the campus of Marvell Academy. Pending approval by the school board and the family of Mrs. Collins, the goal is to place a memorial object on the Marvell Academy campus to honor her and all that she did for the school and her students. A couple of ideas for the memorial object include a bronze hat or a sculpture of a wreath resembling one that the school would place on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the Government Class trip each year. The brainstorming process has just begun, so more ideas are welcome. If excess funds are received or if a memorial object is not approved, the funds will be donated to Marvell Academy and designated as the family directs.
There are two ways to contribute to this fund:
1. Mail a check to the Marvell branch of Partners Bank (make check out to Rosemary Collins Memorial Fund): PO Box 443, Marvell AR 72366
2. Donate via the GoFundMe "Donate Now" link.
This fund is separate from any general donations to Marvell Academy in memory of Mrs. Collins. This is a collective effort to raise money for a specific memorial object. Anyone who wishes to make a general donation to Marvell Academy may do so by mailing a check to the school and, if so desired, may designate the funds to be used for a specific purpose.
