My name is Andrea, and I co-own Rosepepper with my mom. She lets me put jokes on the sign out front. Maybe you’ve seen it on the internet and it made you smile. I really hope so because it’s pretty much my favorite thing. My family has been selling tacos in Nashville since the 1960s, and Rosepepper has been slinging margaritas in East Nashville since 2001. I truly believe our margaritas are the very best in Nashville. But no one gets those delicious margaritas without the help of our amazing staff.
We know for sure that our staff are the reason you love hanging out with us (apart from the tequila). They have big, beautiful, funny, intelligent personalities that inform our steady stream of marquee jokes, memes and food/booze pics every single day. Because of Covid-19, their hours have been reduced down to less than a quarter of what they used to be. These folx are smart and wonderful souls who depend on people being able to physically come in and dine with us to make a living. My mother and I are doing everything we can to try and take care of them, but with such a massive - albeit temporary - reduction in business, it’s just not enough.
So, if we’ve ever made you smile, or laugh, or maybe drink one too many margaritas (before responsibly taking a Lyft home) and if you’re able, it would be so amazing if you’d consider donating to a fund to help our employees during this terrible-awful-no-good time. To be completely transparent, 100% of the funds collected will be split evenly among our incredible staff. There are still plenty of ways you can support our business through the purchase of gift cards, a VIP membership, or just by ordering some delivery. But if you aren’t a local and would still like to help (or you are local but just wanna throw in for the staff) we would be so, SO grateful for any amount you can spare. As a small-business owner, there is no roadmap for how to handle a situation like this but please know that we appreciate you all SO much.
Respectfully, Andrea Chaires
