Nepal Earthquake Relief Appeal

Hello everyone, we're Udaya and Rosie Thapa, we live in Oakham, England and have family and friends in Kathmandu and in the villages of Nepal. Following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake and its many aftershocks, Kathmandu and a great number of villages in Nepal have been reduced to rubble, leaving the people in desperate need of essentials such as water, food and medicines.
We have been lucky in that our immediate family is safe. Others have not been so fortunate and have lost family, property and livelihoods.
We want to help fundraise here in England and send the money as soon as possible over to trusted individuals on the ground who will procure and manage the necessary resources. We know and have spoken to people in Nepal who tell us they need medicines quickly, along with water and food supplies. What you give will go directly to these individuals who will use it to buy water, food, medicines, blankets, tents, petrol (to transport the supplies and to charge mobile phones to facilitate this resource management). As time goes on, needs will change and so we will keep you updated with where funds are being directed.
Entire communities have been flattened by the earthquake leaving nothing, and need to be rebuilt. We hope to contribute to this effort. We would also like to direct the money towards rebuilding community facilities such as hospitals and schools to help them get back up and running as soon as possible.
So we're asking you to please give what you can, a sensible amount in proportion with your means, there is no such thing as too little, and this money will go directly into a separate bank account created for this fund specifically. Also please pass this campaign on to those around you and help share our fundraising efforts with others.
