Ross Austin Memorial

Ross Austin passed away unexpectedly at the age of 51 on April 2, 2020. He was a great man with so many talents and so much love to give. He was a math teacher at Shepherd High School in Shepherd, Michigan. In addition to teaching there, he was on the football coaching staff, the track coaching staff, and he coached the robotics team. He's made a difference to so many with his boisterous personality and his passion and zest for life, and I can speak from experience that many lives were made better for knowing him. He was dedicated to all his kids, his own and his students, and was always going the extra mile to show his support.

His family would like to honor his memory by supporting the causes that were closest to his heart. We are asking for donations to keep his memory alive at the school he loved, teaching kids he cared the world about.  After donations are collected, they will be distributed to the Shepherd Athletic Department for a memorial plaque or the Shepherd Robotics Team so the program may continue in his absence. If you'd like to specify one of these two causes, please feel free to do so.

Please help keep his memory alive for a family he cherished and continue his legacy through the dedicated students he taught every day for 20 years. We're so glad we got to see you.
