Hi, my name is Katie fowler.

I got involved in helping collect items to send over to Ukraine last Sunday the 27/02/2022. We suggested people drop of any donations to my shop. Since Monday we have had some amazing donations. We have sent out one shipment already to Romania and we have another one leaving tomorrow for Ukraine.

I have a lots more items to send and will be sending one out on Thursday we are hoping to Romania and another to Lublin on the weekend. I have managed to ask nicely and get free shipments but I will have to start paying for them soon. A shipment into Romania or Poland will cost me about £2300 each time I send them. I need to raise as much money to keep my shipments going. I can guarantee each of you I know where everything is going and that it is in desperate need in those places. I will even get pictures back of them receiving the items.

This is all being run in my business so at the moment I have been severally effected and last week I managed to actually take £70 all week. I do need to pay my rent and my electric to keep my business going. Everything else can obviously wait till after this crisis is finished. I don't want to give up on all the good we are doing, but unless I obviously pay my bills I might have to. So I am just asking for a little bit of help to make sure I can still survive after this. Anyone that is self employed will know how tough it is keeping afloat.

This is not something I would normally consider doing but we’d really like to keep helping the Ukrainian refugees in sending as much physical aid as we possibly can.

On the 12th of April we will be heading to Romania. We are looking at taken 2 vans and a mini bus. We will drop aid at the border and carry on ferrying people off the border to wherever they want to go. I also know of a 100 disabled orphans who crossed the boder nearly 2 weeks ago. I am hoping to drop food, clothing, teddies, colouring books and Pencils plus a treat of some sweets. We will be stopping out there for about 10 days to help as many people as possible. Thankfully we have Diana and vilius who will help translate. They will also help anyone to fill out forms to enter the UK.
