Rowan's Story
Donation protected
On May 6, 2020, 7-month old Rowan Lanza's parents Rachel and Noah received news no parent ever wants to hear: Their bright, beautiful baby was very sick with what appeared to be hepatoblastoma - cancer of the liver. Rowan was immediately admitted to Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Over the following days, Rowan underwent numerous tests and procedures as the doctors worked to confirm her diagnosis, evaluate her condition, and construct a plan for her treatment.
Rowan began with four rounds of chemotherapy. A living donor was found and approved in late July and her liver transplant was scheduled for August 11.
Please join us in praying for Rowan as we trust God with her story.
If you are able, Rachel and Noah would greatly appreciate your financial support during this time. As of right now, we believe all of Rowan’s medical expenses in Iowa will be covered. We are currently fundraising to help with Rachel and Noah’s living expenses as neither will be able to work regularly during this time as they care for Rowan during and between chemotherapy treatments. Eventually, there may be more assistance needed with medical bills, at which time we may update the monetary goal.
