Let's raise Rowdy's bonus money for charity.

Hi folks. I'm just another forlorn Pirate fan. Like many of you, I didn't care much for today's news of the Bucs designating Rowdy Tellez four at-bats short of receiving a $200k bonus. I like Rowdy Tellez. Seems like a hardworking, good team dude. He certainly didn't deserve this treatment.

Thought maybe we could have some fun with this. Maybe do a little good with this.

I did a little Google research and found an article from this spring's Post Gazette. Here's the key paragraph....

"Tellez lost his mother, Lori, to brain cancer on Aug. 19, 2018 — right around the time he was originally supposed to make his MLB debut. For the past three Septembers, Tellez and his father, Greg, have hosted a charity golf outing in Lori’s honor, donating the money they’ve raised to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital."

So here's the deal.....let's see how much of Rowdy's $200k bonus we can raise and donate it in his name to St. Jude's.

I've set up the GoFundMe so the money raised goes directly to St. Jude. So this isn't a scam (and better yet, I don't have to deal with it beyond setting it up.)

So let's show Rowdy some love and tell Nutting and Cherington to shove it by raising some money for one of Rowdy's favorite causes.

When we're done maybe we challenge the Bucs to match what we raise ?
