Row for Hemophilia

Donation protected
Hello! We are two students from the University of Georgia aiming to cross the Pacific Ocean from California to Hawaii starting June 4th 2016. Upon completion, we will become the youngest pair to complete the E-W Pacific crossing and Jacob will be the first hemophiliac to attempt such a journey.
Becoming fast friends by meeting on the rowing team, we share the thirst for adventure, the love of rowing, and the passion to make a difference in the community.

As college students, we unfortunately don't have the resources like the other teams to get past the boat and race fees, so, we are looking for help. We will have a team that provides safety checks before the race, weather reports, and a whole lot of other support services. Safety and logistics for the row can cost up to 25,000 USD, the boat runs 22,000 USD to charter, and we will need an extra 8,000 for food and logistics (shipping & sea survival courses). Fortunately, we have a corporate sponsor named Origami Risk matching up to 25,000 USD, so each dollar here means we are getting double the amount!
