Roxane Dendy & Family's Traumatic Event
Donation protected
My name is Cheryl Brown, and I have known Roxane through work for the past seven years.
When I heard about Roxane’s disturbing and life-changing event - I felt compelled to do something to help. Here is her story:
On November 11th, Roxane’s husband, Trevor, and their daughter Ashely left their house to go to work. A random stranger approached them in their driveway, wanted their vehicle, and shot Trevor - in front of their daughter. He then stole their vehicle and fled, shot and killed another victim before being apprehended by police. It is surreal that this kind of crime can happen in Calgary, Alberta. Trevor remains in critical condition in a Calgary hospital and fighting for his life.
Absolutely traumatized by this event, Roxanne cannot earn any income as a self-employed salesperson. She is at her husband's hospital bedside.
This traumatic event has turned the entire family’s world upside down. They are focused on nothing else but the long road to recovery - physically and emotionally.
We want to help lift the financial burden of household expenses from this family - while they deal with the trauma and grief over the months to come.
