Roxanna Burns Funeral Home and Graveside Expenses

Donation protected
Most of you knew Roxanna Burns as a friend, coworker or a relative of some sort. I knew her as a loving, caring, strong mother. As an only child sometimes I felt she was very overprotective, but deep down I knew that she just wanted me to be the best version of me. As a young adult, I did everything I could to give her a run for her money. But no matter what, she was there for me physically, emotionally and financially. The last couple years have been tough on her health. She has battled COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Congestive Heart Failure just to name the monsters. She fought with oxygen tanks to breath, tons of medications to function and relieve fluid, and difficulty sleeping. The last 6 months I believe she has been in the hospital more than she has been out of it. On 9/9/23 she started retaining fluid again and 02 levels dropped. Her blood pressure began dropping and no matter what was tried, would not elevate. At 4:00am on 9/10/23 they let us know the machines and meds were the only thing keeping her heart and lungs working. At 4:15am she left this cruel world surrounded by myself, my wife Denise, her husband Kevin, and her 3 sisters Nyna, Melissa, and Stephanie.
I ask for your help now to cover expenses from the funeral home, graveside services, and some medical bills as she did not have Life Insurance. I set the goal at $5,000 which will help tremendously with the upfront costs, but of course there are plenty of expenses to be covered. Anything raised above the amount used for Mom’s expenses will be donated to The American Heart Association for research! Thank you to everyone that is able to help, whether it is monetarily or even sharing this post for me in this difficult time.
