My grandmother Roxanne DeMent was friends to many and loved by all. She was the light of the family, These last few years she had been struggling with her fluctuating health problems caused by diabetes. She was prone to infections and had a bacteria infection in her foot that caused her blood to become septic. She was informed that amputation was the only option at that point because her toe was already gone. Soon after they removed the toe the infection only got worse and they took to the middle of her foot mentioning that if it didn’t work they would need to take the knee down. She was so strong and although she was in pain she always stayed positive and made sure everyone around her was happy. There’s so many amazing things I could say about this beautiful woman, March 2nd 2024 is unfortunately going to be a very rememberable day for everyone who’s life’s she impacted. it happened very fast and shocked all of us because she was so happy and finally up and walking more and more on her own. She would talk about how good she was feeling and how ready she was to start walking again. I just know she’s up there dancing in the sky pain free. My family isn’t the type to ask for money but she deserves nothing but the best. I apologize for not knowing what else to say because my head has been everywhere if there are any questions feel free to ask them I will try and keep this as updated as possible. If you can donate anything for this beautiful soul to get the memorial she deserves it would be so deeply appreciated during this hard time.
