Roxanne Dunn, a Dedicated Teacher's Story!

Hello! My name is Beth Rupert, and I am the owner and director of Solid Foundations Academy. I am raising money for Roxanne Dunn, our beloved preschool teacher.
Roxanne is a kind, beautiful, young lady who just graduated from Slippery Rock University with a dual degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. While at college, she was an All-American athlete in pole vaulting and track and field. She loves sports, but her real passion is for children, especially children with disabilities. She has worked as a camp counselor at Akron Rotary Camp in Akron, Ohio. Akron Rotary Camp is a camp for children and adults who have a wide range of varying abilities. It was working at this camp that she truly found her passion for special education. Her greatest educational goal is to someday have a classroom working with primarily non-verbal students with ASD. She was working hard to reach her goal by helping to start Solid Foundations Academy's first Special Education Classroom where children with special needs can reach their goals!
Her passion and career goals for helping children were suddenly halted. On Sunday, March 21, 2021, Roxanne was in a serious car crash. Roxanne was life-flighted from the accident to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. From the impact of the crash, Roxanne's seatbelt had cut into her body, damaging her spine and intestines. She has had numerous surgeries already to repair her damaged body. The doctors are saying that she has "life-altering injuries."
I am raising money to help Roxanne pay her bills. She will be unable to work for months. She will have medical and other bills due to her extensive medical treatments and rehabilitation needs.
If you could please donate to this passionate teacher who was just starting to use her gifts to help children and the community. Your donations will relieve this young teacher's financial stress and provide her with the motivation to walk back into the classroom where she can help children and families!
