Roxanne's Road to Recovery #surviving cancer
Donation protected
It was hard deciding to do a GoFundMe, but living is more important than pride, so here it goes. I have been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive cancer (mucosal melanoma) and there are no treatments with good survival rates at this time. Over the next few months, I’ll be in treatment here in California and will need to travel for clinical trials that might give me a good result. Clinical trials only provide the treatment and don’t include the travel, hotels, and most aftercare. The expenses involved in each treatment will be in the thousands, easily.
At this time, I'm finishing up FDA approved treatments at City of Hope. Since I was diagnosed and started treatments in January 2023, I haven't had a good response and the mucosal melanoma has metastasized to my lungs and brain in just a few months. After this round of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, I'll be moving on to a clinical trial that holds some promise.
My family and I sincerely thank you for any amount you are able to donate. Please forward this to anyone you feel might like to contribute. Every bit counts. We also appreciate you keeping us in your prayers.
