Roy Sconfienza's Memorial Services & Family

The afternoon of Monday, July 10th, 2023 the world stopped for a brief moment in time and everyone who knew Roy had their life changed forever. In the words of his oldest daughter Amanda, "If you knew him, you loved him and even if you didn't know him, you still loved him."

He was dedicated to his work at the DPW in Haledon, NJ for many years as well as to his community at home in West Milford. Roy served as a volunteer for West Milford Fire Company 6 for over 30 years and held many titles within that company as well. In every conversation at some point the firehouse would find it's way into the talk and you knew it was going to be a good story. Probably even more stories than calls at times I'm certain.

Above all else Roy's unconditional love & support he gave (and continues to give) to his wife, Sandy, and two daughters, Amanda and Jessica is unmatched. The Sconfienza Family is one of the strongest and most selfless families anyone could ever meet.

Unfortunately we have all had a piece of our hearts broken with his sudden passing and there is nothing that can ever change that. I think Roy would want us all to smile, laugh, tell jokes, and stories in his memory & honor. If we continue to do that and manage to keep him a part of our everyday somehow he will always be with us.

My name is Brianna, I am one of Amanda's best friends & I have known Roy (or as I call him Papa) since I was 9 years old. My purpose for making this page is to hopefully assist The Sconfienza girls with any memorial costs as well as daily living costs etc. while they navigate this unexpected circumstance. Arrangements are as follows:

Visitation Hours will be held on Friday, July 14th, 2023 between the hours of 2pm-4pm as well as 7pm-9pm

Funeral Proceedings will be on Saturday, July 15th, 2023

9:00am- Final words at VanderPlaat Funeral Home, followed by funeral procession

10:00- Burial at George Washington Memorial Park 234 Paramus Rd Paramus, NJ 07652
