Hello,
My name is Alejandra and my husband Joe his brother Gus, and family as well as our many pets
Today at approximately 4:00am on 11/22/2023 our home burned to the ground and we lost absolutely everything. The cause of the fire was reported to have been an electrical fire. everything that we ever held dear: Photos, family heirlooms, entertainment devices, food, clothes, family furniture, years of hard work, and even the house itself which was constructed by our family, is all lost due to this horrific tragedy! The topic of most grief comes from the loss of our most beloved pets: Chiquita, Chanel, Sherbert, Chelo, & Charlie. With those that have survived, terribly ill due to smoke inhalation. My brother braved the flames and attempted to save our cats and dogs both listed above & those that are with us now. He did the best he could, we nearly lost him as well. By the end of it, he was covered in black soot and filled with remorse at being unable to save more. But without his courage and fast action, my aunt would've perished alongside those lost. For the ones we have lost during this, we mourn them and shall miss them greatly! Prior to this great tragedy during this time of year we lost our son and grandfather these times of the year have not been good to us and it’s hard to push forward but we must try and we are asking for everyone’s help to get us there thank you all for taking the time to see this! Shown in the above picture is my brother Gus our dearly departed grandfather and wife Alejandra
In addition to our great loss of precious furry loved ones, our Dodge Ram & Jeep Wrangler vehicles were also caught in the flames and have also burned to an irreparable state. All that we have now is the clothes on our backs, 1 phone and the generosity of the Harlingen Fire Fighters, whom have given us a voucher to stay at a hotel, temporarily. They also provided us a bit of money for immediate clothing needs and food. Without their aid, we would not be where we are right now.
We understand that this is the season for which family comes together and joy is had with one another. We understand that the holiday season can be very tough on alot of families. Knowing that this is the season that is most heart touching and giving, we ask that, whomever reads this, you please find it in your heart(s) to aid us in the financial, medical, emotional, & mental recovery of our family. Any amount, even $1.00 helps! For we have nothing, nothing but each other.
