Jesus Garcia

Jesus Garcia, known lovingly as “Tata Chuy”, fought bravely over the last few weeks but sadly lost his battle against Parkinson’s disease.

From the early 50s through the late 60s Tata Chuy was a Bracero Laborer and activist. Those fortunate to have known him knew of his love for horses. He spent his life training and caring for them at various tracks including Church Hill Downs, Belmont Park, Santa Anita, Los Alamitos amongst others. His love for horses was only matched by his deep love of family and friends, including his beloved wife, Rosa.

Although our hearts are aching and mourning his loss, we know he is at peace and resting.
