It’s really hard to ask for help especially with such a personal subject but I’ve seen this work for so many other people and we’ve with nothing else to lose so here goes nothing…
Hi, our names are Alix and Tyrone and we’ve been together for 13 years.
We’ve been trying to have a baby for around 10 of those years.
We’ve managed to conceive 8 times but 4 of those sadly ended in miscarriage and the other 4 in chemical pregnancies.
I was diagnosed with PCOS at 15 which contributes massively to our infertility and hypothyroidism which can cause miscarriages.
I had a procedure done earlier this year and have both been taking medication that was supposed to increase our chances of me carrying a healthy baby, we did get pregnant quickly and we had every hope that baby would grow but unfortunately ended in early miscarriage again last week.

We can’t put ourselves through trying naturally anymore and feel our best chance now is to try IVF, genetic screening and possibly ICSI.
For 3 rounds of IVF and maybe ICSI it would cost around £10,000 with 70% refund if it is unsuccessful, ( that’s not including the medication and initial tests, which would cost close to another £10,000 in itself).
The NHS will fund one cycle and as amazing as that chance is, the reality is that we will more than likely need more than one round, there’s also a huge waiting list and a lot of hoops to jump through to get on the list, so we’re hoping to be able to go private for more testing and hopefully have a chance at trying IVF.

Any help at all, even sharing this would mean the absolute world to us, and get us closer to our dream of having a family. We are saving money ourselves and are planning to fund the majority of the costs with help from our family, but £20,000 all in all is a lot of money.
We didn’t expect to reach this option so haven’t planned for this.
