Support for The Powell Family

On April 19, 2023, our best friends Elizabeth and Matt's world changed. After multiple scans, imaging and exploratory surgery, the doctors determined it to be stage 4 gastric cancer. Matt had a port placed on May 3, and the plan is to start an aggressive regimen of chemotherapy on May 9. if you know Elizabeth and Matt, you know they are the most giving people with the kindest of hearts. They are the ones who are usually giving to others and providing support. Now it is our turn to support them during this difficult time.

With Matt having gastric cancer, a meal train is not an option at this time due to dietary restrictions. Many people have asked how they can help, and we feel this account will provide them the ultimate flexibility to meet their needs as they arise. They will be able to use the money that is raised as they see fit, whether for gas, groceries, mortgage or even fun experiences with their sweet twins, Walker and Lucy Pearl.

This is a very difficult time for Elizabeth and Matt, and for the close family and Friends who love them dearly. We are trying our best to love on them, pray for them and support them every step of the way. Even though we are all sad, angry, and heartbroken over this diagnosis, we are still seeing God's hand on this story- not only with the specific people he has placed to care for Matt, but in the day-to-day encouragement and support from family and friends. Matt is a fighter, and he is ready to tackle this head on, and we are all in his corner fighting with him.
