Help Sarah Study Abroad in Japan

My name is Sarah Noll.
I was picked as part of a select group to study abroad in Japan during the summer of 2024. It is a faculty-led class in Japanese culture and animation, something I am very passionate about.
With a price tag of around $9,000, including the cost of airfare, I am seeking help in terms of paying for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The experience itself is something that you cannot put a price tag on, which is why I am trying very hard to make it happen.
I am a freshman Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communications major with a concentration in animation and games at the University of Texas at Dallas. I currently hold a 4.0 grade point average, and I have a passion for sound design and animation and hope to work in either of these fields after college. The animation and game design industries have brought me so much enjoyment over the years, and I look forward to spreading that enjoyment to others.
Taking this class would provide an opportunity to understand different animation techniques while fostering connections on the other side of the world. Along with that, I get the opportunity to learn about and understand different cultures and gain insight into how other countries operate as a community.
Studying abroad in Japan would help me go outside my comfort zone, both personally and professionally. I would also be taking time off from my part-time job at Starbucks to make this happen. It is an amazing opportunity that I have been looking forward to for years, and all contributions would help me further achieve those dreams.
Any donations to my goal are extremely appreciated. Thank you for funding an unforgettable opportunity for me.
