HELP LARRY PUT HIS LIFE BACK TOGETHER! Larry (Butter) Smith was sent to prison in 1994 at the age of 18 and served 27 years of a natural life sentence for a crime he did not commit. The only thing linking Larry to the crime was a notorious professional jailhouse snitch who lied and testified in numerous cases. Larry was finally freed because of the tireless work of attorney Mary Ann Owens, private investigator Claudia Whitman, and The Wayne County Conviction Integrity Unit. The discovery of false testimonies lead to the discovery of numerous irregularities and misconduct.

After 26 years of being denied an opportunity to make a life, Larry has nothing. Anything you can contribute will go directly to Larry. He needs help with housing, transportation, clothing, food, eye wear, phone, medical needs denied to him in prison, and resources to continue fighting for truth and justice.
