Rainbow Rescues Medical Emergencies
Tax deductible
Rainbow Rescues Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a foster-based, all volunteer animal rescue dedicated to animal welfare. We believe in second chances which means we are constantly hit with unforseen medical needs. This fund is set up specifically to help those pets in our care who require medical needs beyond regular vetting.
This fund started with Sweet Pea, an 8 year old Pointer, She was transferred into our organization from a local Animal Control. She was picked up a stray and it is believed she was likely dumped from a backyard breeder. She was severely malnourished. It was obvious she was continuously bred and had mammary tumors that need to be removed. Worst of all, she had heartworm so severe that she lost some of her eyesight. Although we lost Sweet Pea in February, the love and medical care provided to her during her time with Rainbow Rescues, gave her a comfortable end to life which she so very much deserved.
Bentley is a scrumptious Beagle who had seen some hard days. He was found running loose and was never claimed. His scarred face was no match for his sweet heart. He received his heartworm treatment thanks to this medical fund and has been adopted to a wonderful family.
Little Jezebel is a chihuaha that was found as a stray. She was sent in for emergency hernia surgery on 11/2. We simply could not wait. Her hernia was so severe that it was crystal clear she needed this surgery in order to survive and she did, thanks to this medical fund.
Tiny Fiona was a chihuaha that was found as a stray. She is had mammary tumors removed and was adopted into a loving home.
Buddy is a beautiful brindle boy who was personally surrendered when his owner fell on hard times. We worked with the owner to try and find assistance but ultimatley it was decided that a surrender was best. Buddy is recevied heartworm treatment through our medical fund and is currently looking for his forever family.
The funds donated will continue to cover the cost of care for all our pets that need the extra help. Most recently, we have started heartworm treatment for Ernie, our adorable hound! Felicia came to us completely malnourished. She has gained weight and is looking gorgeous but she is now waiting to have much needed eye surgery. Roxy, a sweet 8-month old german shepherd, will need some testing to figure out just whats going on with her back legs.
Stick with us for updates! Thank you for your support!
