I am asking for your support to help make a positive impact on the life of my dear friend, Christina Marrs. Christina dedicated almost two decades of her life to making music professionally, primarily as a founding member of Austin's beloved Asylum Street Spankers. Since retiring from her music career, followed by a difficult divorce, she’s been facing the challenges of single parenthood and finding stable and meaningful work.

Christina's determination knows no bounds. She's been working tirelessly, often 10 to 12 hours a day, seven days a week, to support her family. She often goes weeks or even months without a day off. Her pet-sitting and dog walking “side hustle” has been growing by word of mouth alone, and now she's ready to take a leap and expand, offering exciting new services that requires specialized equipment. She is putting every cent she has saved into making this dream a reality, as well as maxing out every line of credit available to her. But several recent emergencies; unexpected medical and dental expenses, expensive car repairs, and her laptop up and dying, have eaten a huge chunk of the money she had saved to start her business, threatening to crush her dreams of finally building more financial security.

What makes this endeavor even more inspiring is that it's a family affair. Expanding her business is an opportunity to offer her adult child, who has autism, a meaningful occupation. His dedication to helping her with pet-sitting has shown his talent in this field, providing him with work that accommodates his unique strengths and challenges.
