Tea’s Gender Affirming Surgery
Donation protected
Hellooo :)
My name is Tea! I am raising funds for my gender affirming surgery in February. It is been long awaited and I am extremely excited.
I started the process of applying for gender affirmation surgery in 2020. Due to long waitlists, I finally got the call to book my appointment this month!!
All growing up, I craved being able to be myself - it feels unreal that it is finally happening. I did not understand the reasons why I experienced extreme suicidal tendencies, major depression, and anxiety/panic disorders when I was younger. It was only after I came out as transmasc that I finally started to feel like I was alive and myself.
This surgery is necessary for my mental health, wellbeing and overall quality of life.
I am reaching out for support because financially, I am not in a place to afford this on my own. OHIP has approved coverage for a portion of the expense, but the amounts not covered are my responsibility. I have been quoted $3,955 out-of-pocket. I will also have to take 6-8 weeks off from work to recover following the procedure.
I have set my goal as $10,000 - but honestly, even just covering the surgery part and not the additional expenses for recovery would really help.
My deadline to pay is January 28. I have been putting aside every extra dollar for over 4 years. Due to life and unforeseen circumstances, I had to use all of my savings and am in a tight spot and any help is greatly appreciated.
In advance, I am extremely grateful and thankful for any support that comes my way. Manifest good vibes for me, keep me in your thoughts, share my gofundme, or offer financial assistance - whatever the case, I appreciate you and thank you for seeing me.
Thank you for reading this - I hope you have a beautiful day being you ;) you deserve it
