RSPCA Newark Branch
In the early hours of Saturday 7th December, a car crashed into the RSPCA Nottinghamshire East Branch shop in Newark, smashing a huge hole in the wall and leaving the property unsafe and unable to open during the busiest time of year.
Branch secretary Tracy Evans said :
“This is our busiest time in terms of working in animal welfare and trading from the shop. The building has been condemned so we can’t even get back into the office. I expect we’ll be closed until the New Year and it’s going to cost us thousands of pounds in lost trade.
Sadly, it’s the animals who will be affected in the long run, and that’s heartbreaking.
We'd like to thank all of the local people who have offered to help us.
If anyone would like to donate to help get us back on our feet in the New Year we would be forever grateful. "
