On the morning of January 1st, Ruben and Elida Rodriguez were forced out of their house due to an accidental fire as described by the Fire Inspector. This fire engulfed the garage and half of the roof. This left behind sut and water damage to the rest of the house.
They were able to salvage a few clothes and personal items.
Ruben is a disabled veteran, they are a retired couple living on a fixed income, both are cancer survivors.
Ruben and Elida volunteered for years with the Auxiliaries of VFW Post 837 and 8541.
They are in need of expenses to cover day to day costs.
