RUBEN LAMBRECHTS FOUNDATION DROUGHT RELIEF PROGRAMME APPEAL
Following its registration with the Namibian authorities, The Ruben Lambrechts Foundation aims to champion environmental conservation, animal rights and social upliftment across Namibia. The brainchild of Ruben Lambrechts himself, the Foundation aspires to establish an animal sanctuary and conservation area which will provide a safe haven for wildlife as well as driving public awareness around critical environmental issues, including anti poaching efforts. Its work will expand to offering support to farmers during natural disasters such as droughts as well as uplifting rural communities by supporting orphanages, funding schools and providing essential resources for education. My partner and I spent time with Ruben during the summer and his vision, passion and enthusiasm for this work is limitless and inspired us to support him in any way we can from the UK.
Though still in its infancy, the Foundation has powerful visions for the future and its impact will be immense. The current drought conditions in the country are having devastating impacts on the its people, farmlands and wildlife and the Foundation has formed working partnerships with other organisations to try and mitigate this devastation and offer support, both financial and practical, in any way it can. All donations received via this appeal will go directly to those most in need at this difficult time.
Namibia is a country not supported by GoFundMe hence the reason for us launching this appeal from the UK : funds will be collected, in UK Pounds, via the platform, withdrawn to a dedicated UK bank account and then transferred via Lloyds Bank to the Foundations Namibian account in Windhoek where it can be put to immediate work and allow the Foundation to start to build its legacy.
